ROC Flevoland trains the doers and makers of the future. It provides a stage for young talent that innovative Holland is crying out for.

Bridge between education and practice

With over 130 MBO courses in Almere Buiten, Poort and in Lelystad, ROC Flevoland is one of the largest educators in Almere and the surrounding area. The courses on offer are closely linked to practice. The teachers often come from the business world themselves and education is organised on a small scale. ROC Flevoland continuously invests in new, innovative learning methods. In Almere Poort, for instance, a Legal Lab has been set up for students of the Legal, Finance & Business Support course. The lab is set up as a practice court so that they can prepare themselves properly for what awaits them after their studies.

More than learning a trade

The ROC Flevoland and the ROC van Amsterdam work intensively together under the umbrella of Stichting ROC van Amsterdam-Flevoland. The aim is that students not only learn a trade, but are also challenged to develop themselves into active citizens and successful students. Even after their studies, ROC Flevoland continues to support students in their development in society and on the labour market. In the context of lifelong development, the ROC is increasingly becoming a training partner in retraining and further training in the market.

For digi doers and tech girls

ROC Flevoland's strategy fits well with Almere's economic agenda. The ROC has public-private partnerships in various sectors. For example, the college in Lelystad is developing a learning line Circular Economy, and the Almere branches are connected to the Digilab. There, students of the Software Developers course work together with entrepreneurs from the region on new digital solutions and techniques. ROC Flevoland is also actively working to interest more young women in technical subjects, for example by organising a special Girls' Day.

Students from MBO College Almere and MBO College Poort work a lot with internships to learn as much as possible in practice. Do you have a suitable place for work placements?
