Sustainable co-creation
Circuloco is a community of pioneers, inventors and creatives. Of ambitious entrepreneurs who show how things can be more sustainable and greener. The hub is a co-creation of Broedplaats de Steiger in Almere Haven and the Floriade. On 14 April 2022, a temporary pavilion on the Floriade site was opened called Circuloco: a showroom with all kinds of circular projects by local makers and artists. This was such a success that even after the Floriade, the community remained a close-knit group of creative entrepreneurs focused on sharing knowledge and promoting sustainable solutions and a better future.

On to Circuloco 2.0
Circuloco is in full swing, working towards a permanent circular hub at the Steiger business park. The idea is to establish a building with sustainable catering establishments, a department store full of products made of circular materials, workshops and workplaces. Naturally, the new building will be built and furnished with old, reused materials, part of which will come directly from the temporary pavilion built for the Floriade, thus completing the circle. In addition, Circuloco actively shares its knowledge and experience with circular construction with other parties. The aim is to set up a Circular Ecosystem Flevoland to accelerate the transition to the circular economy together with entrepreneurs, experts, authorities and education.
