Aeres MBO Almere is located on Ambonstraat in Almere outside. The school is part of Aeres MBO and has a total of 11 locations and 3 HBO locations spread across North and Central Netherlands. The MBO is part of Aeres and educates Green Changers: young people and (experienced) professionals who contribute to a sustainable and liveable world. Our vocational education is contemporary and attractive, with a focus on sustainability and respect for people and animals. At Aeres MBO, students are challenged to develop talents.

In the partnership 'City of the Future', students learn all about sustainability combined with technology, so they are ready for the jobs of tomorrow.

The school that connects city and nature

As a versatile, green school, Aeres MBO offers courses in the fields of climate & nature, animal care, equine sports and husbandry, and garden & landscape. The focus is on sustainability, entrepreneurship and practice. Students learn not only at school, but also by gaining work experience. For instance, Aeres MBO students work with Staatsbosbeheer, Stadslandgoed de Kemphaan and the municipality of Almere to promote more nature and biodiversity in the city.

Unesco school for do-gooders

Aeres MBO Almere is one of 37 UNESCO schools in the Netherlands and pays close attention to the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals in its curriculum. The school cooperates with national and international partners at various levels. At national level, the school cooperates with a variety of companies, schools and NGOs, among others.
