Second application round Flevoland Cycle Break Points launched

The network of Flevoland Cycle Break Points continues to grow. From Monday 15 June 2026, hospitable entrepreneurs can apply for the second application round of the provincial network of Fietspauze Points.

With the Fietspauzepunten, Flevoland province aims to provide cyclists with accessible basic facilities along the way, such as a toilet, water tap point, shelter and a place to park the bike safely. Together, the locations form a recognisable network where all cyclists and walkers are welcome for a short stopover.

Network continues to grow

The first 13 Flevoland Cycling Break Points have now opened and together form the basis of a provincial network for all cyclists and walkers. The locations are listed on the Visit Flevoland website, so cyclists can easily see where they can stop along the way. The second round of applications will further expand the network.

Conditions and registration

Entrepreneurs and organisations wishing to participate can apply if their location meets the conditions. One of these conditions is having basic facilities such as a toilet, water tap, shelter and a bicycle lean-to. Locations that do not yet have all facilities may be able to use a subsidy scheme from Flevoland province to realise them.

The expansion of the network takes into account a good distribution of cycle break points across Flevoland. Therefore, a location that is too close to an existing cycle break point will not be considered for participation.

Interested entrepreneurs and organisations can register from Monday 15 June to Monday 29 June via the online registration form on Sportservice Flevoland's website. After the application period ends, applications will be assessed and participants will be notified of the outcome as soon as possible.

Together strong for cycling in Flevoland

The Bike Break Points are an initiative of Flevoland Province, in cooperation with Visit Flevoland, Sportservice Flevoland and its member entrepreneurs. With this initiative, the province wants to further stimulate cycling and contribute to recreation, exercise and hospitality in Flevoland.
