Second edition Changemakers of UpAlmere! full of inspiration

7 July, The Green Innovation Hub hosted the second edition of Almere Changemakers, an initiative of UPALMERE! Entrepreneurs, experts and changemakers came together here to share their growth dilemmas, covering topics such as financing, team development and scaling up.

Growing through connection and leadership

Alderman Maaike Veeningen (Economy, Municipality of Almere) opened the afternoon with a powerful message on the value of strong communities as a foundation for economic growth. Dennis Hovinga then inspired with a story about the interplay between the speed of startups and the scale of corporates, and how precisely this collaboration accelerates innovation. Kimberly Ofori, founder of The Bold New Company, then took the audience on her personal entrepreneurial journey. She showed how inner leadership helps you break through growth barriers.

Interactive break-out sessions

In the second part of the afternoon, participants could delve deeper into three interactive break-out sessions led by experts Marie Weijler (Rabobank), Karin Kleingeld (NextLevelMKB) and Marcia Richardson-Dusseldorp MBA (Network Flevoland Businesswomen).
