This year, the Flevopenningen Gala will introduce a new award: the Rabo Impact Medal. With this new award, Rabobank and the Flevopenningen aim to shine a spotlight on entrepreneurs and organisations that are not only successful in business, but also make a visible impact through their ideas, choices and entrepreneurship. The Rabo Impact Penning will be presented for the first time on Friday 2 October during the Flevopenningen Gala 2026 at the Topsportcentrum Almere.
Impact can take various forms in this context. It may involve entrepreneurs or organisations that drive innovation within their own sector, develop new solutions or inspire others to take action. But it may also refer to entrepreneurship that makes a demonstrable contribution to social issues, for example in the areas of sustainability, quality of life, inclusion, talent development or financial health.
With the new medal, Rabobank and the Flevopenningen aim to demonstrate that economic and social value can go hand in hand. Entrepreneurs play a key role in the changes needed to keep Flevoland strong and future-proof.
The nominations are assessed by an independent jury. Criteria include social relevance, local engagement, demonstrable impact, entrepreneurship, inspirational value and future-proofing.
The recipient of the very first Rabo Impact Medal will be announced during the Flevopenningen Gala on Friday 2 October 2026. That evening, the gala will bring together entrepreneurs, directors, local authorities, the provincial government and partners from across Flevoland at the Topsportcentrum Almere. In addition to the award ceremonies, the event will centre on networking, inspiration and the theme of ‘High Tech’.
