Almere Underground: Experience and guts under one roof

Las Vegas in the centre of Almere

Step inside Almere Underground and you will forget for a moment that you are in the Netherlands. With 4,000 square metres of indoor entertainment - from bowling, karaoke and laser gaming to VR, mini golf and axe throwing - the centre is an unprecedented experience for young and old.

The initiative by Harold Kluit, David van Luijn, Frank Keijzer and their team opened its doors in June 2024. Not much later, they were named Entrepreneur of the Year 2024-2025 in the Starter category. The jury was impressed by the guts, size and choice of location - a place few entrepreneurs had succeeded in before.

For families and businesses

Almere Underground focuses on broad target groups: families, groups of friends, schools and companies. You can go there for teambuilding, children's parties and business presentations in the fully equipped Weerwater room. The bar and restaurant complete the picture.

The concept emerged after years of inspiration from abroad. Kluit: "We wanted to create a place with atmosphere, luxury and entertainment. A location where you discover something new every time - and it had to be in Almere." Local talent was also chosen for recruitment. "We consciously invest in the city and its inhabitants," adds Van Luijn.
