This year, nine companies from Almere have again been nominated for the title 'Enterprise of the Year 2025-2026'. The award is presented in three categories: Startups, Small Business and Medium-sized Business. The selection was carried out by an expert jury headed by alderman Maaike Veeningen (Economic Development). 

The nominees were chosen based on a variety of criteria. For the Startups category, the focus includes potential, boldness and innovation. For the Small Business and Medium-sized Business categories, distinctiveness, sustainability and social involvement in Almere also play an important role.

Jury Award and Audience Award
The final winner per category will be determined by a professional jury. In addition, everyone can vote for their favourite company from Friday 24 October to Wednesday 12 November. The one with the most votes will win this year's Audience Award. Voting can be done via www.onderneeminalmere.nl/en/ovhj. The winners will bear the honourable title 'Enterprise of the Year 2025-2026'. They will also receive a prize package including professional photo and video material, a media package from Almere Zaken and a year's free membership of the Vereniging Bedrijfskring Almere (VBA). The winner in the medium-sized business category will also be automatically nominated for the Flevopenning, the provincial award.

On Friday 21 November 2025, during the evening program on the Day of the Entrepreneur, at Xperience Wedding & Events on Antennestraat 32 in Almere, the winners in the three categories as well as the Audience Award will be announced.
